Ahh. The school play.
One year, in the sixth grade, I was put in as Pandora in my school play entitled "Pandora's Box".
Stop laughing. It's true.
Of course, I was a painfully shy tweener that would rather have died than be in a play. In front of the school. And the parents. And my fellow classmates.
Needless to say, I was wonderfully crappy. I'm pretty sure not a single person actually heard any of the lines that I had whispered into the microphone.
I've made my peace with it.
Anywho, back to the point: Adi and Piper were just in their grade's school play. Since the people at the school who control such things did not realize that I had two children back-to-back in grades, they decided that it would be best to do the same play for both third and fourth grade. Back-to-back on the same night.
It was... super fun :)
Piper, much to her exceeding joy, ended up with a leading role. Adi landed a few lines, and was incredibly jealous of Piper getting waaay more lines to speak.
Who are these strange children?
Piper was Spots, the zebra servant of the king. Adi was Cheetah #3 (didn't even get a name, poor girl).
And no, those aren't professionally made costumes. I happened to have made them myself. Never you mind that Piper looks more like a donkey in zebra pajama pants.
Pips was up first.
Her first playbill.
And a clip from the show:

Adi's was next. She is a very fancy walker.
I had gotten a wee bit bored at this point, so I just sat there taking shot after shot of Adi.
She noticed my stalking after about 254 pictures.
That's my girl.
And then we skipped to my aunt's house and collected da boys (thanks sooo much Aunt Stacey & co. for watching those rugrats).
And then everyone went to bed.
:)
