Porter and his bubbles

I was making dinner last night with Porter in his litle chair on the counter watching me. He started fussing, so I gave him a handful of bubbles and let him play! By the way, you can hear in the video why we call Porter "Brother Bear".

Say adios to all of my hard work

Ok- some may call me crazy, but I have decided that it is time to redecorate the girls' room. I know, three times in two years is a bit much, but I found the perfect bedding on clearance- CLEARANCE- and had to get it. Stay tuned for new pics of their new bigger-girl room! Watch out Porter- your room is next...

This is Halloween!!!

It's not exactly October, but I just can't wait any longer!! Happy Halloween everyone!

A little look

I just finished this page of Porter right after he was born. I've been working on it for nearly five days now (these kids just won't leave me alone!).

A pink kind of rant...

I have nothing against the color, in fact, pink was my own personal favorite crayon for as long as I can remember. But enough with the pink already! Since Adi was a year old, it has been her color of choice, and Piper has joined that blush-colored fan club. Everything must be pink- shirts, skirts, panties, socks, shoes, backpacks, plates, forks, cups, stools, carseats, bedding, walls, notebooks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, they even told me they want a PINK CAR! Of course, when you buy a 2-pack of something, only one thing is actually pink, while the other item is *gasp* purple. I end up having to purchase two twin packs of toothbrushes or underwear or utensils so that a bloodbath doesn't erupt between big sister and little sister. ENOUGH WITH THE PINK ALREADY! I am tired of pink... how about a little yellow or blue, my goodness, I would be happy with purple! Evn Rylee is starting to ask for pink everything (luckily she doesn't exactly know what pink looks like, yet). Thank goodnes I have a little boy who will hopefully bring different colors into out house...

Poor little ballerina...

Just a quick little note before I got flip some hotcakes...

I took Pipes to the doctor yesterday and they cut off her cast (which completely terrified her- I have the claw marks in my neck to prove it), and then promptly put a new one on. The x-rays revealed that the fracture is worst then they originally thought, it starts about halfway down her tibia and cuts diagonally down to her ankle. It goes through her growth plate, but the Doc said that it shouldn't be a problem since her plate is still in alignment. So she has to wear the cast for another MONTH. Poor Pipes, for the past weekeverytime she says her prayers she asks for "the doctor can take off my cast so I can dance forever and ever and run super fast again." When they started putting the cast on her, she was crying her eyes out, saying, "I don't want the cast on! I don't want the cast on, I want to dance! Please Mommy, please!" Talk about getting your heart ripped out of your chest! Needless to say, I've been spoiling her rotten! The problem now is to keep her from walking on the cast...

A quick post...

Just wanted to show my family this pic I'm having framed & hung up on my wall for all who enter mi casa to see. Nanny Jo said that even though kids can't read the rules, having them displayed will remind them of them(hopefully that works for husbands too ;). So I am hoping this works!

My little sweetheart

My little Adi is doing so well in preschool- she knows a, b and c! She knows what sounds they make and everything! What would I do without my super helper? SHe is always more than willing to do things for me and her little gimpy sister. She skips around, scheming what kind of tricky thing she can do next- whether it is climbing up the five foot-tall filing cabinent (that she has alreading cut her head open on) or doing some kind of crazy craft she dreamed-up. Adi loves to watch Porter, help clan and cook and is always ready to make me laugh when I'm feeling down! Keep flying, butterfly!

Rice cereal, anyone?

Nope, not a big fan of the big-boy food... yet. Give him time, or at least until he discovers fruit :)

*Oh, and I saw my little spelling error, so there's no need to point it out, Dad. I already fixed it in the original!

Another creation....

Here's another page I did today with all my new digi scrap stuff (did I mention that I love doing this?) For those who wish to see my new short 'do- well you can't really, but this is probably as close as it will get!

You like me, you really like me...

Ok, so I'm not Sally Fields and the award isn't exactly an Oscar, but still- it means a lot to a humble first-time blogger. Thanks Tangie for the credit!

I now bestow this award on five other bloggers who deserve more than I do:

1)Emily- Your page is rockin' and fun, and, after all, you did get me started in this!

2)Whit- Even with your busy nursing-school schedule you still find the time to blog!

3)Lindy- My partner in digi-scrapping crime!

4)Momma Nae- I really enjoy your stories and quotes!

5)Kayla- For always having something interesting posted... and I love the "clean" feel of your blog.

***I forgot to credit Roberta Ferguson who started this oh-so-wonderful award! And I forgot to explain that everyne who recieves this award is to take it and pass it on to 5 other Rockin' Girl Bloggers who deserve it!!****

Sorry, sorry...

I've been working on some digi scrapbooking (what they say is true- it really is completely addictive!), and have been ignoring my blogging. Since a few people have called me on it- here are some adorable videos of my precocious children:

Adi is hamming it up as Penny from Hairspray.

Piper belting it out.

I'm not sure, and I could be completely crazy, but I do believe that Mr. Porter is saying, "Mama." You tell me...

No News...

A wasted trip out to Casa Grande... after driving over an hour to get there, we spent ten minutes in the office before we were sent back out and told to come back next week. Just glad my little Pips is keeping an upbeat attitude about the whole thing!

You be the judge...

Everyone keeps asking me who Porter looks more like- Adi or Piper. So you be the judge... be sure to tell me what you think!

Pretty close call, huh?

I am having a ball with the free trial Photoshop that I downloaded- I just can't stop scrapping (I am buying Adobe from Costco next week)! Once again, I am singing Tangie's praises- everything but the pics were from her.. I can't wait to spend some money at her store!

A little typing before my bath...

Today was the kind of day that makes you tired just remembering it. Porter has been up all night for the last three nights with teething issues, so I started the morning off with big circles under my eyes and some very slow reflexes. After helping Piper scoot around the house and consoling her every time she wanted to do something that her gimpy leg just wont let her do (poor Pipes- its so hard for a little girl so full of life as she is to just sit and not participate). Adi started saying she wasn't feeling good, and when I took her temp, it was up to 100 and rising fast. After throwing up a couple times (once on me!), she is now sleeping soundly on the couch. I got Porter to sleep with the aid of Tylenol and Piper is also sleeping on the couch- not because she is sick, but because she didn't want to be left out. Orrin is still working, and now, instead of sleeping, I am choosing to spend my free moment blogging- this thing really is addictive! Now, time for a hot bath...

*Thanks Tangie for all the stuff in the pic!

Okay, it's all under control

Stop worrying... I have managed to fix my blog. I know everyone was really worrie, but it is fine now. Anyway, I used stuff from Tangie's (again) to fancy up my page... everything in the header and in the side-bar titles are from her!

Oh Boy!

I was simply trying to improve my humble page when I accidentally deleted a lot of info and just plain messed-up the rest. Have patience while I try to restore the former page!

Halloween is coming, Halloween is coming!

Can't you just feel it? Sure, there's not a crispness to the air here in good ole AZ yet, but night is coming quicker and I've cracked open the sewing equipment in preparation of costume design. It's coming! It is taking all of my self control to not break open the decoration box and go to town.

These are pics of my kids' previous Halloweens, all the costume made by yours truly except for Pipe's pumpkin one (she was only 3 months old!). I'm excited to finish this years' little creations!

* Oh, Tangie- how I love your freebies! Everything in the page, but for the pics and the writing, are all from her!

Seriously... a cast?

So, I took Piper to the doctor today (after tumbling class where she jumped and rolled and danced with only a hint of a limp), and we came home with a bright pink cast. How does a girl that can hop and tumble end up with a cast, you ask. Apparently she has a tiny hairline fracture and to avoid making it worse, she was fitted with a day-glo pink cast to hold it still and keep her weight off of it.

But don't go pitying our little monster... she has already discovered its oh-so-handy use as a weapon (just ask Orrin's leg and Adi's nose). And she got a new little SuperGirl skirt to help her feel fabulous while skooting around. She is movin' and groovin' by crawling just fine and can make it up and down Kim's stairs perfectly. You go, Pipes... ya just can't keep this little munchkin down!

*The background and tag are once again compliments of the creative Tangie. Keep the sweet freebies comin!

Oh, The Joys Of Unknown Pain...

When we were at Grandma Merrill's house on Monday, Piper and Adi decided to try to "fly" off of Lehi's bed, and it ended with Piper rolling on the floor, screaming in pain. Now, if you know Piper, you know that she is a pretty tough girl that usually doesn't let pain stop her from playing. But she was crying and curled up in a little ball. I took her to the hospital to have xrays taken, but they couldn't find anything wrong with her bones, so we were referred to a Pediatrics Orothopedic doctor. For now, she has regressed back to crawling on all fours because when she puts any pressure on her leg she collapses... Fun stuff!

*the black polka-dot background is one of Tangie's freebies! Can't wait for the store!
