Sisters

Sometimes these little girls fight.

A lot.

Like, every second of the day.

And at these specific times, I really want to pull out my own hair. They seem to bicker about everything: to whom the lipgloss belongs to (they each have one), whose shoes got left in the middle the stairs (Adi's), who gets to sit in the flowered booster seat (who cares?)...

And then, every great once in a while, you walk into your totally-girlyfied bathroom (notice their racks of hair things?), and see this:

And then I actually believe that these two little girlies are going to grow up to be great friends someday.

P.S. Adi did Piper's hair all by herself. Child prodigy, I believe.

Volleying

So where have we been?

Enjoying the little bit of sunshine and warmth that Mother Nature has so kindly shared with us recently. It's even supposed to get all the way up to 85 degrees today. WAHOO!!

Of course, it is supposed to snow tomorrow.

Utah rocks, huh?

Anywho, we've been doing a lot of bike rides, walks, and trips to the park. My father also decided to introduce tennis to the young ones.

Piper is quite dedicated to learning this sport. She also takes wonderful pictures while holding a racket:

And Porter tries oh-so-very-hard to hit that bouncing green ball.

It really hurts when you end up on the wrong side of his wicked swing.

(Trust me, I know from experience).

Miss Adi actually showed a real talent for this sport. Unfortunately, she has all the focus of a goldfish and declined to even pose with the racket and opted to play on the playground instead.

Aww, this girl. Reminds me a lot of myself.

Warmer and Sunnier AZ, part 2

So we spent actual Easter at my sister's house... and (if you've been keeping track) it was my kiddos third Easter party.

So spoiled, I know.

Can you guess whose Easter basket this one is?

If you guessed Porter, than you were wrong.

It was Piper's.

I also didn't get too many pics of Easter morning, at least none that really turned out.

My birthday happened to my on the 5th, so for breakfast we went to Joe's Farm Grill. Let me tell you, if you live in the Phoenix area and have never eaten here, get up off your buns and get there.

Seriously, now!

They have lots of picnik-style seating outside with plenty of room for the kiddos to run wild.

And run wild they surely did.

(Mr. Porter and his Easter present, a Zhu Zhu pet).

And here is my lovely little sister and the two hooligans.

After eating, we "forced" the men to go golfing while Whit and I hit the awesome outdoor mall. Yes, I know that it actually has a name, I just prefer calling it the "outdoor mall".

The kids got to run around the play area and shop at the Disney Store where the girls got some Minnie Mouse jelly sandals and Porter got Lightning McQueen flip-flops.

It made their day.

We also hit-up Krispy Kremes for breakfast one of the mornings we where there.

Mmmm... sprinkles.

These guys were fascinated with watching them make the oh-so-yummy glazed doughnuts.

No, that is not the end. More to come in a but...

Warm and Sunny AZ, part 1

Because we were just plain sick and tired of the Utah snow and cold, we spent Easter in Arizona this year. Oh, and because we have a whole lotta family there too.

Anyway, we also lucked into watching Mr. Lehi, Orrin's youngest brother, get baptized.

Adi most-especially enjoyed this since she'll be entering the baptismal font herself next year (crazy, right?).

Here is one of Porter's heroes in life, Heber.

And Porter-Pot trying to get past all the picture-taking and just get inside already.

Little Miss Eliana, Parker and Jenni's little girl.

Piper loved Eliana since she was always willing to let Pipes pick her up and carry her around (something Porter would bite Piper for trying).

Pipes is just a lost little model looking for a runway...

And Adi would rather climb into Daddy's truck than have her picture taken.

Lindy and Brandon.

Daddy showing off his muscles.

Here are all of the Merrill grandkids, well, everyone but little Brevan, Parker's 4 month old baby.

Awesome picture, right?

Here's another one of my favorites:

And Aunt Jessie:

On Saturday, in between Conference sessions, we went to a park for a quick BBQ and Easter Egg Hunt.

Here's the manly men frying up the hot doggies:

And Grandma and Emma telling the kiddos the rules of the egg hunt.

Porter will eventually fall off of this swing and land directly on his back, an injury that he is still sporting (wish I had a pic of his scratched-up back to share with you all).

And Hyrum doing an awesome imitation.

Grandpa and Madden taking a stroll down the death slide.

Why do I call it the Death Slide? Because the landing on this thing would probably kill me if I had tried it.

And Hannah doing the teenager thang.

The kiddos had decorated these bags of theirs during Conference and then filled them with goodies and toys.

It was a fun trip that ended waaay to quickly. Hopefully we'll make it back down there soon and stay a bit longer next time!

Early Easter

The whole Buckway fam was together last week, and since we weren't going to be for the real-deal Easter, we decided to do our own week-early bash.

First, the egg hunt...

Adi's hair had definitely seen better times.

Lil' cousin Katelynn.

Pipes acting crazy...

And Miss Adi reaching for the hard-to-get ones...

Aunt Whitney created the centerpieces.

Aren't they yummy?

And Uncle Chris was the head cook...

Well, not really, but you gotta love this pic!

Last birthday post, I promise...

So, Porter loved his b-day at Chuck E. Cheese. He did not, however, care too much for Mr. Cheese.

At all.

He wouldn't give him "five", take a picture with him, dance with him, nothing.

But, he had fun drinking fruit punch (as you can see by his awesome red mustache), eating pizza, digging at his cupcake before blowing out the candles...

Ummm, have I mentioned Porter's fear of fire? You can just see it in his eyes, can't you?

(also, my camera really stunk it up in the poor lighting at that place, and apparently Picnik didn't want to fix the red eye)

But my baby boy had a rockin' time. I have a ton of pics still to edit from the party, but I'm just not sure when I'll get around to that...
