The Baba King

Orrin thinks that it's time to take away Porter-Pot's bottles. And I think that if we do, Porter won't be the super-good-sleeper that he is. Thus Mommy won't get as much sleep...

Then he came out of my room looking like this yesterday (please don't ask why his pants are around his ankles. The boy is a bit strange). Porter likes to hide bottles around the house so when he needs to suck a little and it's not naptime he has somewhere to go.

Maybe OP was right...

L*O*V*E

Adi had one of her many boy friends (let me clarify: not boyfriend, but a boy that is her friend. Adi reminds of this everyday) over to play yesterday and I was lucky enough to catch a mini- part of their conversation:

Adi: Did you get the letter from Natalia?

Logan: Yeah. It was stupid.

Adi: But she said she loves you!

Logan. Yeah, but I love you- not her.

Oh, goodness. I had to bite my cheek to stop from laughing. Later, OP went to check on them and Logan rushed to cover up what he was drawing. When Orrin asked what it was, Adi said, "Oh, he's just making me love notes."

Orrin came upstairs and told me that it was time for Logan to go home.

Breakfast at Copperton

This is Piper waiting.

She is waiting for her Mom and Dad to find Copperton Park so that she can have her cinnamon roll and then play.

So, OP and I got a bit lost on the way to the park on Monday (ok, I didn't actually know where it was, but we had fun trying to find it. At least I did).

Copperton Park was my favorite park as a kid, so I was more than a little excited to spend the morning there with my own kiddos....

Climbing the giant tires from Kennecot.

Watching Porter climb to the top, decide it is too scary to go down, then climbing back to the ground. Then repeat at least 10 times.

Torturing the kiddos whilest I snapped pictures.

Watching Adi just doing her thing.

Memorial Day

What does warm weather mean to you?

For us it means hanging out at the park,

watering Nana's garden,

making and cleaning up yummy summer treats,

eating said yummy treats,

running in the sprinklers (and turning blue afterwards, it just isn't hot enough yet but that doesn't stop the kiddos)

licking down drippy popsicles,

and hanging out at soccer games.

And what does it mean for you?

Owies

OP and I have been considering purchasing some Band-Aids stocks.

We're pretty sure that Adi and Pipes could single-handedly make us a profit.

And Pipes has a couple on her arms, knees and more hidden by her shoes. *sigh* A whole box of Dora Band-Aids gone in 2 minutes.

Where Have We Been?

Why, enjoying this awesomely warm weather

(for those of you in Arizona, that means 80 degrees- don't laugh... how are you enjoying that 110 degree weather?)

This Little Piggie...

Last night for Family Home Evening, we learned about saving our money, and what's a better way to teach that than painting your very own piggie bank? OK, maybe there are better ways, but we hadn't done a craft in a while and I thought it would be fun...

Anyway, the kiddos started off with drawing a picture of what they wanted to save their money for. Adi wanted to save her money for tithing (OP had to explain that we only pay 10% and the rest of the money could be a donation)- notice the green temple she drew. Piper, always practical, is aving hers for her own car so she doesn't have to drive with Mom and Dad anymore.

And Porter, well, it's supposed to be a dog. Can't you tell?

Oh, and clothing is not usually optional at our FHE, but since we were getting creative we let Porter strip down!

Then the kids started painting. I was actually quite impressed with Porter's skills. He was calm and patient and tried to cover all of the pig. Really. He had OP turn it for him so he could get the whole thing painted.

Adi and Piper took an hour to paint theirs. Really.

Piggie #1 is Pipe's. Piggie #3 is Adi's.

And Piggie #3 is Porter's.

And what did Mom and Dad learn? OP learned that it's better to just hose a painted two-year-old off in the shower and I learned a bit of patience while waiting that long hour for the girls to finish.

Also, I should have bought OP and I some piggies to help us save money.
