I am not a photographer.

Not at all in the least bit would I ever dare call myself one.

Ever.

I have a nifty camera and I like to take pictures.

But a photographer?

Nope.  Not anywhere close.

So when my Auntie asked me to take my cousin Chyenne's senior pictures?  Well, I got a headache, threw up a little, and then agreed to do it.

As long as she understood that I.  Am.  Not.  A.  Photographer.

So here's my little cousin Chy... the girl I used to dress up like a barbie.  And the girl whom my daughters can thank since I learned how to style hair on her.

And also the girl that would use all of my perfume and make-up when she came to visit.

I have forgiven her for those things, however.

Here are a few of my most favoritist of the pics we took.  Thank goodness the girl is photogenic.  Mostly ;)

Good luck on the Aimes test, Miss Chy.

Sure hope you don't fail.

I am sooo hilarious, aren't I?

And on actual Easter...

the kiddos awoke to a tangled mess.

Wait: let me back up a bit.  We didn't get home from Thatcher until 10 the night before, so while Orrin dutifully carried the kiddos up to their beds, I had to start the real work.

Draping four different balls of yarn all over the house and getting our breakfast ready to be popped into the oven in the morning.

Well, Orrin actually talked me into staying on the bottom floor with them all, at least until Wyatt doesn't get up at night anymore... since the idea of Wyatt getting tangled up in multi-colored yarn at 3 o'clock in the morning was only slightly amusing, I agreed.

So, back to yarn:

That was a horribly blurry pic, but the expressions on Piper's and Porter's faces?  Priceless.

You should have seen me setting them up the night before... and then Orrin and I crawling and jumping to get up the stairs when we went to bed.  Hilarious, I tell you.

The kiddos followed their designated colors

(I did not capture a single picture of Piper.  She was too quick!)

At the end, they found their baskets.

With the traditional items inside:

sunglasses

and flippy floppies.

Thank you, Children's Place.

I cannot express how happy this sidewalk chalk made me.

Breakfast of champions, baby.

I must tell you, that every time I see hydrangeas, I think of the scene from It's a Wonderful Life.  At least a few of you will understand me... I hope.

After church, we had my side of the familia come over for a superly-fantastic dinner (of which I have no pictures) and then another egg hunt.  I feel as though no words are really needed for the following pictures- and also I am tired and lazy- so here we go: a whole lotta pictures with no explanations.

Ok, I lied.  The day before we ransacked the park, our neighborhood had a community egg hunt.  They grew the grass super tall so that the eggs could be hidden better in it.

They did a really good job.  In fact, there were about a dozen eggs that never were found.

Can I tell you the best part of having cousins that are waaay younger than you?  They are the perfect age to take your kids egg hunting.  You rock, Hannah and Savannah.

Another benefit to these awesome cousins of mine?  Tricking them into hiding the 132 eggs for the hunt.  And then they immediately forgot where they hid them all ;)

Whit was there with the twins,

Love you, Pregnant Whitney.

My other cousin Audra was there with her plethora of kiddos also, but she conviently stayed directly behind me whenever my camera was turned on.  Tricky, tricky girl.  But I did snap a picture of her cute baby.

Can I just say that I am so unbelievably excited that there isn't another holiday (or birthday!) until the fourth of the July?  Mama needs a break.
