Porter Grant seems to think that he doesn't need to sleep at night. He is an excellent naptaker- the boy still takes two naps a day! And please don't think that if I cut out a nap he'll do better at night- that only makes him ornery and he bites a lot.
But when nightime rolls around and 11 o'clock hits, his alarm clock seems to go off. He wakes up and cries. And cries. And cries. If I rock him, he'll lay still. But not sleep. Then its on and off the rest of the night and he is up for good every morning at exactly 5:42. Like clockwork. Yep, that early.
So, what to do? I am begining to turn into a zombie... drool and all. Any suggestions from my fellow bloggers?

Oh the joys! I am going through the same thing right now!! After the second night Sophie was pulling her ear quite a bit, so I took her to the doc thinking infection, but he said that her ears looked fine. After examining her teeth, he said she is teething pretty "good", which to me means bad. He suggested Tylenol and not "getting out of routine". So, I let her cry it out after the dose of Tylenol, and she did much better the next couple nights. I know this can happen during major milestones too (crawling, walking, talking, etc). It will pass. Just try to get some rest!!
How cute is he?! I want to see more pics from his b-day. That shirt is adorable. And for your little problem, I guess you should've let me take him home like I wanted too, and then you could have gotten some sleep.
He's just going thru a change. Unfortunatly, you are gonna have to put him in his crib and let him cry. It will take a day or two of that and he'll learn that he has to sleep at night. When you go in and rescue him, he gets what he wants. It was hard the first time I did this with Ella, but it worked right away. I got over it too when I realized that she was happier when she slept better. She also acted like she liked her bed and stuff. I did this at 9 months. Good luck.
