Bake Sale

Adi has been bugging for years to have a bake sale.  I have always said no.

Because I'm mean, that's why.

Last week she conspired with her friend and finally got me to give in.  We were having a small bake sale.  On the side of the road.  At Porter's football game.  Those were my terms.

The girlies agreed.  They spent the night before making cake mix cookies and sugar cookies, decorating their sign, and giggling a lot while listening to Taylor Swift music.  The day before they had went to her friend's house (Savannah, that is) and made bracelets and decorated purses to sell.  They were busy little girls.

Why were they trying to earn money?  Why, to save for tickets to Taylor Swift's next concert, of course.  Duh.

So they sat up their little table and displayed all of their items.

And they were nice enough to let Piper tag along too.  You know, after she bought that black velvet purse from them for $6.

And then they waited

For a very long while.

Luckily, good ole' Aunt Stephanie dropped in and bought a few items (you rock!).

And then the girls started performing to get attention.

Piper was performing some kind of dance under them, but I missed that.

Then they moved the chairs closer in and were doing some cheer stances.

And they were singing...

But no one actually bought anything other than Stephanie and Savannah's big sisters.

I was afraid that it would crush their little entrepreneur spirits, but they still looked like this by the end of it.

I let them set up on the corner in front of our house to try and sell some more while I prepped Wyatt for leaving.

The bishop came over and bought some (they gave him the deal of buy two, get two free).

The girls ran over to some friends to see if they wanted to come and buy something.  They left Porter in charge of the stand.

He might have sampled some of the products

They might not have made a ton of money, but they sure did make some awesome memories.

And they all ran around with a major sugar high for the rest of the day from eating the leftovers.
