A Merrill Christmas Party

So that whole days of Christmas thing?

That's over.

But I tried.

Anywho, this past weekend, we merry Merrills gathered together to celebrate this Christmas season.

We had a great Mexican Buffet feast.

Can you believe all of these grandkids?

I do realize that more than half of the kids in the picture belong to OP and I.  Let's just move on, shall we?

I must tell you that for some crazy reason, people seemed to dislike my crazy, obsessive picture taking.

Can you see the pure hatred burning beneath their thin smiles?

So I put away my lovely little camera (she knows when she's not wanted), but my two mini-mes (you know them as Adi and Piper) took over for me with my old point and shoot.

Well, mostly it was this little fart.  She has a very difficult time sharing the camera.

Which turned out pretty awesome, since most people didn't think that pictures would make it to this public blog.

Silly them.

We played a bunch of Minute-To-Win-It games (no pictures since Adi & Pipes were busy playing), and then the kiddos exchanged their gifts to one another.

Adi, Piper, and Rylee whisked the younger grandkiddosover to the craft table,

Then the adults got to play the game that everyone comes for.

The jar exchange.

The rules are simple: take your jar, disguise a $20 gift, and set it in the middle of the room.  Then the exchange happens- white elephant style.

As you can see, people got creative this year.

My hubby filled his jar with quick-set cement.

Yep.  He's pretty much a jerk :)

Adi captured most of what was hidden inside the jars.

If you couldn't tell, Mr. Hyrum ended up with Orrin's 10 lb jar.  He had to take a hammer to the thing to get to the Home Depot gift card inside of it.

I was really trying hard to get that gift card.

Fun, fun, FUN, I tell ya.
