Peach Blossoms in the Morning

A couple of weeks ago, some of our Thatcher cousins came down for a visit.  Lindy, Stephanie, and I decided that since we really wanted to spend the day shopping, we'd take the kiddos out for some fun and then we'd hit the shops.  We reasoned that maybe that way the kids would behave themselves.

Yeah, that didn't work out.  But we still had fun at Schnepf Farms and then we got to spend money at a few of our favorite stores.  So all's well that ends well, I guess.

Oh, and I forgot my camera so I did my best with my phone.

Anywho, we went first thing in the morning so that we could have breakfast there.  Which, I did not get a picture of. But we had peach cinnamon rolls that were as big as a plate.  Yummy.  Oh, and we had hot cocoa too.  With lots of whip cream on top (is there any other way?).

And then we had no idea what to do.  On their website they listed a bunch of things to do while you're there.  But we couldn't find any of them.  So we set off on a walk to find the peach blossoms.

The kiddos found a friend along the way.

What's funny about these pictures is Adi's expression.  Notice how she looks slightly disgusted?  She's the one that caught the lizard!

We stopped and played on a little wooden house thingy on the way (and by "we" I mean the energetic kiddos, not us too-cool adults).

Oh, hey Wyatt! Glad to see that you're actually here.

Pretty, pretty blossoms.

We played at fun little park thingy (which we found out afterward that we were supposed to pay to do.  Whoops).

There was sand to dig in (Porter was a bully and pretty much hogged this thing the whole time).

A giant wooden train to play in.

Baby swings for the little dude.

I call these things Tweety bars.  I have no idea what they are actually named.

There was a little track made from stacks of hay barrels where the kiddos could ride these pumped-up tricycles.

We then hopped on a real, small train and rode around the farm.

And then we left.  There were more things to do, but honestly we couldn't figure out where to go to do them.  So we left to regroup at home and then hit our stores.

Oh, here's one more pic...

Pretty fun morning, but next time I think I should find a guide or someone to tell us what the heck to do.
