St. Patty's Day

As per tradition, we set a trap for that rascally leprechaun.  We even made it pretty this year.

Here's a better view of the trap.  I know that it is so awesome that you want to study it closer.

And what does one use as Leprechaun bait?  Skittles, of course (Taste the Rainbow.  Duh.).

And for breakfast?  Lucky Charms!

Also, there were some awesome mustached-straws.

The sneaky little leprechaun got away, once again.  This time he cut the top of the trap into strips and braided them into a rope.  Yeah... that must have taken awhile.  And probably gave that little green man a paper cut.

He then gave into peer pressure and left us a surprise in the toilet.

He also took his traditional stroll across the kiddos faces.

Yup, that's a blurry pic.  But it the only one I got of those green footprints on anyone's face.

For dinner, Whit and Chris dropped in and we shared shepherd's pie with a green pepper clover on top.  Did you know that the St. Patrick worked as a shepherd after he was kidnapped and enslaved?  Well, now ya do!

Oh... and to get all educational on you: the three leaf clover signifies the Holy Trinity.  St. Patrick used to used those lil' green clovers to teach others about three in one God.  Boom!  I just slapped some information down on you.

Yeah... this pic was taken on my phone and for some reason it refuses to turn the right way.  Oh well.

For dessert we had Shamrock Shakes.

And they were delicious.  If you like mint (that was a dig directed at you, specifically, Christopher).
